World Poetry Day - 21st March

Most schools celebrated World Book Day but why not start a world poetry day in school with children dressing up as their favourite characters from poems? Starting a science lesson off with a poem leads to some rich investigations . Our favourite poetry books to support science lessons are Centrally Heated Knickers by Michael Rosen for KS2 and for Ks1 we like Shirley Hughes Collection and Robert Louis Stevenson Garden Verse .
